We’re fortunate to live in a time and place where opportunity abounds, a time when many women have come to the forefront, risen to the top and who are making that place count.
ignite gathers together these women, the game changers whose endeavours have altered industries, impacted economies, provided employment for myriads and who lever their commercial gains into philanthropic endeavours to make the biggest difference possible.
Our May session features two sessions with Co.OfWomen member, Julie Christie facilitating session one and sure to engage us in an invigorating conversation with serial entrepreneur Cecilia Robinson and spectacular allrounder Theresa Gattung, to get behind the scenes of the wildly successful My Food Bag story. Julie's stellar career in TV and film production makes her the perfect lead for what we know will be dynamic, engaging session.
It was one of the fastest growing companies in the country in just three years from start up, now approaching 5 years, My Food Bag has revenues in excess of 135 million, a team of more than 120 and on trajectory to IPO following a private equity deal in late 2016. (pause for breath here!).
In this intimate gathering we'll get behind the scenes to explore
- how two women from such diverse backgrounds became such fast business collaborators
- the common driving force behind Cecilia's 2/2 successful businesses (so far!)
- how they managed to create such pace and scale in such a short period of time
- the role that private equity is playing in the big picture vision
- the magic in the make-up of the team driving this success
- the ardent entrepreneurial nature of this enterprise
