Jenene Crossan's 5 bombs of wisdom

1
Get advice from people who have been funded via investment, ask them about the highs and lows and come up with a strategy. You need to understand the path and realise not everything is always going to go according to plan.
2
Surround yourself with people who you can trust and talk to them.
3
Be clear about the personalities and values of people who provide advice to you. They may be successful but that doesn’t mean they see the world or how to run a business the same way as you.
4
Remember ATEOTD (at the end of the day) you’re just a ghost driving a meat-coated skeleton made from stardust, riding a giant asteroid around a flaming ball of fire. Perspective is important.
5
Ensure you take holidays. The mental health of founders is important. Founders are expected to be there all the time but no one is at their best 24/7, we have bad days too. I take a week off every three months (I don’t want a fourth husband).
